The France Show review.

Earls Court 13th, 14th and 15th January 2012.

The total visitor numbers were up by more than 10% on 2011 and the success of this year’s France Show at London's Earls Court seems to indicate a good year for the French property market. We certainly had a successful and very busy time on our stand in the French Property Exhibition hall.

“We offered free tickets to our mailing list subscribers and demand more than tripled on last year.” Sharon Evans, Director of Cle France.

 Speaking to the organisors of the event it seems around 20,000 people attended over the three days. The show was laid out differently this year with a central "welcome" area leading off in two clear directions: one to the entertainment & trade fair and the other to the French property exhibition. The usual suspects were ever popular, French food market, boules court, live music and of course the Can Can dancers made a welcome return after their absence at last years event. The wine-tasting theatres were a sell-out success, while the free property seminars were also well attended including our very own Sharon Evans who presented seminar on "The buying process in France".

 We met hundreds of new visitors to the show and quite a few familiar faces from previous exhibitions in Olympia and Harrogate amongst others. We had comments including “I am planning on moving to France next year and thought this would be the best place to start my search” and “I cannot believe the cost of property in France, it is so low compared to the UK". Visitors were looking at a variety of different properties and over very different budgets.

 Our stand was busy from show opening right up to the end of each day and we had a lot of detailed questions on Mortgages, Insurance, Healthcare and of course Currency exchange rates as well as general enquiries on property.

 We now have a busy few weeks following up on all our property enquiries and 2012 looks like it will be another busy year for us as well as everyone searching for their dream home in France. We hope we can make that search a little easier and the process as trouble free as possible for all of our clients.
